With Thanksgiving upon this Thursday November 26th, I have two questions that I want to ask everyone including myself. What are you Thankful for and Why do people think they are so Entitled? I will answer both of these questions in the next couple of paragraphs. After you read this article ask yourself the two questions that I have asked and given you my response too and see how you would respond to them.
What are you Thankful For?
As for me, I am like everyone else who are thankful for my family, friends, a place to live, my job, and food on the table. But what I am most thankful for a God that is passionate, caring, kind and most of all forgiving. We all fall short of his everlasting love and glory but we can count on his forgiveness and love to be there for us. I am also thankful for the friends that when you make mistakes they don’t turn their backs on you when you need them the most and that also goes for family. When you hit rock bottom you find out you can only depend on God, your real friends and real family. Also I am thankful for the friend who as the saying goes “when I get to big for my britches and try to do too much: brings me back down to earth wither I want to hear what they say but need to hear what they say. But last but not least I am thankful for my mom who has always been there for me no matter what the situation was.
Not only be Thankful on Thanksgiving be Thankful for everyday that you are given from God.
Why do people think they are so Entitled?
It has become a world where it seems every young person thinks they are entitled to everything from a free education to someone else paying for everything they want. What has happened to working for what you want and then it means more to you. Merriam-Webster defines entitlement as the feeling or belief that you deserve to be given something (such as special privileges). That is what is wrong with people in general but especially the young people thinking they are suppose to given everything without working for it. This way of thinking is killing America which was a nation that was built on hard work and prospered because of hard work. And the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the people that made this nation prosper; they are the spoiled rotten brats who help start this belief of entitlement. By them saying give me give me I have the right to have this without work because of who I am.
But this is one of the things wrong with America today is people thinking they are entitled to everything today.
